In December 2008, Global Health Force sponsored a team to Nigeria to provide medical care to a portion of the underserved population in Anambra state.
Nwando Okafor shares her experience with this mission.

The health fair in Nigeria was held on the 27th and 28th of December 2008. It was at a small village called Oba, in Anambra state. I flew from Los Angeles to join the crew of 20 volunteers already in Nigeria preparing for the health fair. Four of our volunteers were from the United States; two medical students, a teacher and a retired immunologist, while the rest, comprising of a Physician and college student were all from different parts of Nigeria.
